Solar O&M Engineer – Permanent Role

Our client is currently seeking a Qualified Electrician/Solar Engineer with experience of working on Solar Farms. As a Solar Farm Engineer you will be responsible for operational and maintenance work on Solar Farms, mainly across Oxfordshire.
Key responsibilities include:
- DC testing and trouble shooting
- Module testing and replacement
- String combiner box maintenance
- String and central inverter maintenance
- AC LV maintenance and repair
- Computer based configuration and monitoring of sophisticated components (e.g firmware updates)
- Preventative and reactive maintenance
- Supporting fellow site managers and engineers
- Liaising with customers, landowners and stake holders
- Conducting Operations and maintenance duties
- Communicating with office based O&M team
Desirable skills and qualifications:
- Qualified electrician including Inspection & Test
- Fully conversant with BS7671
- Experience of large scale Solar PV (advantageous)
- Ethernet trouble shooting and repair, fibre optic communications
- Central inverter skills/qualifications/experience
- String inverter skills/qualifications/experience
- Regular use of Microsoft Excel, word and outlook.
- Full Driving Licence

- Salary £23,000 – £32,000
